Counselling for Men in Brighton
Many men carry a lot without speaking about it. Pressures around work, relationships, family, expectations or simply trying to keep everything together can build up over time. You might feel stressed, disconnected, stuck or unsure where to turn. Counselling offers a space where you can talk openly, without judgement, and begin to understand what is really going on beneath the surface.
I provide humanistic counselling for men in Brighton & Hove, offering a calm and confidential environment where you can speak honestly and explore whatever is on your mind. There is no pressure to present things in a particular way, only the opportunity to be heard and to make sense of your experiences at your own pace.
Alongside in-person sessions at my Brighton practice, I also offer online counselling for men, so support is available wherever you are.
To arrange an initial free 15 minute call you can contact me by phone or WhatsApp on 07410 040348, via the contact form below or by email: johncreigancounselling@gmail.com
What Might Be Going On for You
You might be used to dealing with things on your own. Work pressure, relationships, family responsibilities or the general weight of life can build over time. From the outside everything may look fine, but inside something does not feel right.
Sometimes it shows up as a mind that will not switch off. You may find yourself replaying conversations, worrying about the future or trying to solve problems long after the day has ended. At other times it can feel more physical – tension in your body, trouble sleeping, headaches, irritability or a constant sense of pressure.
You might notice yourself pulling back from people, losing patience more easily or feeling disconnected from things that used to matter to you. Some men describe it as going through the motions of life rather than really feeling present in it.
If any of this sounds familiar, you are not the only one experiencing it. Counselling can give you a place to talk things through and start making sense of what is going on.
How Humanistic Counselling Can Help
As a humanistic counsellor offering men’s counselling in Brighton & Hove, I see counselling as a conversation between two people rather than something where you are analysed or told what to do.
This is a space where you can speak openly without needing to have everything worked out. You can bring whatever is on your mind, whether that is stress, relationships, work pressure, feeling lost, or simply a sense that life is not quite how you want it to be.
Together we can explore what is happening in your life and what it means for you. Often the process involves slowing things down and looking beneath the surface so that the thoughts, pressures and expectations you carry begin to make more sense.
Counselling for men can help you:
Recognise patterns in your life that may no longer be working for you.
Talk through experiences and feelings you may have been carrying alone.
Gain a clearer sense of direction and what matters most to you.
Reconnect with your own ability to respond to challenges and make changes.
There is no single way counselling needs to work. I aim to make a space for your experience and your pace.
In-Person Men’s Counselling in Brighton & Online Sessions
I offer men’s counselling in Brighton & Hove, as well as online counselling across the UK.
In-person sessions provide a dedicated space away from everyday life where you can think, reflect and talk openly. Online counselling can work well if you prefer to meet from home or live outside Brighton but are looking for a humanistic counsellor.
Wherever you are based, the aim is the same: a confidential and supportive space where you can talk honestly about what is happening in your life.
Taking the First Step
Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what you want to say.
